I have it, and would recomend it. Its better than not getting it, having surge, and then having to pay for a new housing.

why you getting that? thats still big for a stock motor and will take half your powerband to spool it..

So are you going to tell me that my T3/T4 60 trim w/ 70ar on the cool side, is too big for my.. OMGAH... 2200!!! Even though its fully spooled around 2k RPMs.

it dosnt make a difference what size your intake is, the hot side is what determines the rate of how fast boost comes in.
and to the OP what will the motor be stock or you plan on building down the road? daily driven or a track car? HP goals? budget?
all this needs to be decided before you go jump in and want boost, what turbo are you actually looking at post up a link please.

well check my registry....trust me the motor is far from stock, it will be both a DD and Track car, im shooting for a solid 400HP and the budget is good for that turbo since its only like 800 bucks........

turbo

A smaller turbine AR will allow you to spool faster, but it also increases backpressure in the manifold which reduces power. A higher AR will spool slower but provide more power at the same boost pressure. If this is intended to be a fun street engine, I would personally go with the .63. The .78 divided T3 would only be a good choice if you have a cylinder paired tubular manifold, which I doubt you do.

I have no signiture

well i was looking at either getting a local performance shop to make a tubular manifold or get the one from here

Smaller AR = Less Turbo Lag, Faster Turbo responce, Lower RPM 'Max'
Larger AR = More Turbo Lag, Slower Turbo Responce, Higher RPMs

To match power 'equally' you will need a higher PSI on a smaller Turbo than you would on a larger Turbo.
Example-
10psi on a T3 is less power than 10psi on a T3/T4.

A 60-63ar on the T3/T4 is a common choice I've found with these cars. It is big enough to 'grow' with your motor but small enough where you can still utilize it on your stock engine... IMO

My hot side on my turbo is a little smaller than that and I will most likely need to upgrade it to acheive my goals, but for now its fine and my cool side isplenty large enough.

i've done some reaserch 'cuse i'm looking to buy a turbo as well ..... i would go with a turbonetics ball bearing t3/t4 .63 a/r stage 3 hotside....E50, 57 or 60 trim not sure yet.

spool up will be between 3200-3700 rpms according to the guy i spoke to. IMO a t3/60-1 and 62-1 are for track racing rather than street racing.....Hope this helps.

i would do the 60-1 in .63 a/r especially for the power your wanting to make. will be perfect for your setup and should spool quick with that head and charge pipes your gonna run. you will love a 60-1
