Hey folks I'm finalizing what I need to finally get my turbo hybrid going and I'm getting 1000cc RC injectors a boost referenced adj fuel pressure reg and I have HPT Pro but I want to know if I need an fmu or will the boost referenced fp reg be enough, thanks.
You don't need it.....it might help you out there. A tad bit easier to tune.
Not needed at all, especially with 1000cc injectors... I would be more concerned about the rest of the fuel system being up to par....
P&P Tuning
420.5whp / 359.8wtq
Thanks guys the rest of the fuel system consists of a Walbro 255lph@60psi intank pump with stock lines and fuel rail, is anything else needed?
dale get the racetronix pump dont buy a standard walbro 255
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
1000cc? i would leave the 1000cc injectors and go for either 440 or 650cc injectors. no need to go that high unless your shooting for over 500hp.. the guy who tuned my car was leery about me using 750cc and all i was shooting for was 300-350whp (granted I am glad i got them since i have a tune for 400hp to) but things get a little more difficult to tune when your using the 1000cc.
But I would go with a front mount just to be on the safe side. Its going to do nothing but help you with cooling the temps down and reducing the risk of knock as well allow you to put down more power.
The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
Thanks Josh but 500 is what I'm shooting for, I want to be like Boosted 2point4, he was putting down 486 whp last year and he's using 1000cc so that's what I'm going to use.
Boosted do you have a link to the racetronics pump? And the walbro I have isn't the standard 255lph one which is rated at 45psi not 255lph@60 psi like mine. Also could I add an inline pump if necessary?

FMU-Fuel management unit
whats your point? more fuel to cool the charge down?
If he is shooting for 500hp he is going to need an intercooler and where he is going for 200hp or 500hp cooler intake temps are going to help out. Example what might take you 10psi to make XXXhp with out a front mount will now only take you 6 or 7 PSI... the benefits are huge to using an intercooler and i would never run boost with out it if you have the option. especially with the Jbody engines..

ahh well then I can see why you want the 1000cc than
also here is the link to the fuel pump.. I takes some fitting to make it work but it didnt take much, althought i still do get a small amount of fuel cut its not that bad (about 1/8th tank) and make sure to get the one thats for the 99-02 F-bodies (plastic fuel tank ones)

Just saying incase you misread and thought he meant fmic. he hadnt mentioned anything about an intercooler and im sure he plans to use one.
Thanks for the link Josh and yes icemike I have a Vibrant fmic 30x9x3.

Is that the WHOLE intercooler or is it the size of just the core on the intercooler?
-Trailblazer SS - not so custom 6.0L - custom intake - custom tune
- (1) 2.4L on an engine stand (1) blown trans (2) good quad trans (1) eco trans = party
Hey Spy what's happening, the fmic dimension are including the endtanks, the actual core size is 22x9x3.25, it's supposed to be good for 550 hp.
I'm considering going to the largest one they have which has a core size of 25x12x3.5 and an overall size of 32x12x3.5 which is supposed to be good for 875hp.
