2.3 turbo exhaust manifold
Sunday, January 25, 2009 1:23 PM
hello, i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get and turbo manifold for a 95 cavalier 2.3, i am piecing together my turbo kit, to have it done by the summer but that seems to be the hardest part to find, im going with the t3/t4 hybrid, and an external wastegate. i am also getting the head and bottom end strengthened. any help would be appreciated, also since i am piecing this kit together if anyone has any turbo they want to get rid of please let me know as i still need a lot of the kit, so far i have the turbo, intercooler, piping,(which may not fit) and a blow off valve, thanks.

swap in an LG0 and have 30 more usable horsepower to begin with...

but, try vulcanturbo.com or get of ahold of atomic at Contact@ATRFabrication.com

or head on over to quad4forums.com and look up Ron at Seibenick racing via this thread and i believe they could make whatever your heart desires.

Something like this?

(this pic was taken before a 2.3 flange was swapped on)

To fit in a stock firewall car, the external wastegate needs to be relocated...... even then, not sure about clearence......

I also had one of these, but sold it to Taetsch last fall.

Started life as a Custom ("Exploited" copy) 2.4 manifold, that we swapped a 2.3 flange onto.

We have been asked to make them before. Would run about $50 extra over our normal 2.4L manifold price just to get the 2.3L flange custom cut.

What if some one were to ask just for a Stainless Flange from you, say.....3/8 thick?

Brian, that second pic is before Dogan welded the LD2 Flange on.

I could probably have them cut in stainless, wouldnt be cheap. We usually use mild steel for flanges.

^^ so your standard 2.4 flanges are mild steel? if so ill have to mention i want stainless when i order mine...

Yup there all mild steel, they have a smaller expansion rate, and weld to stainless just as strong as stainless to stainless with the proper filler rods. The cost of having the stainless flange made just one off would be pretty expensive if your willing to do that. I normally get the mild flanges made 5-10 at a time to keep pricing down and have them instock.

hey vulcan what do u think would be the price on the manifold, for the 2.3 if i ordered one. and how long would it take me to get it, using steel for the flange, and the rest stainless, i have a spare header i could send u if u need to make a template for the flange if u dont already have it

I actually have the template for it from the first person who inquired to have one made. Like i said price would be $50 extra to the cost of teh 2.4L manifold, and i would guess that it would 2-4 weeks for delivery.
