Whats up guys. For all you guys who are running built boosted ecos. Im curious on the build. For these motors is it better to buy the forged low compression pistons of stock forged pistons?I know what does what but you guys who have more experience with these motors then i do should know. The kit will come with the 20g and i want to see what this thing can do. Also hahns intercooler. Is it really a good size or would i end up having to get a larger one if ill be running more then 15psi? Any info would help. Thanks.

Anything more than 10 PSI on a 20G would be skating on the dangerous side... (on a stock engine)
Lower compression pistons are a must!
Also you are going to have to have HPT to tune the car as Hahn's FMU, doesn't provide enough fuel for high boost levels...
Oh and read!!!
Search!!
lower compression pistons are NOT a must. Forged rods and pistons are a must if you want to make some decent power

Not entirely true, although HPT is very beneficial there is no reason he couldn't run just the FMU with larger injectors which can handle the high fuel pressure and lower the base idle fuel pressure (below what Hahn recommends on the 32lb Accels)

Oh @!#$ sorry guys. it will come with the port fueler. im going to use hptuners regardless but thats later. I just needed some info with the compression. It will be a built motor before putting on the 20g. But has i can see Low compression or stock compression is thee question.

Go with lower compression, that way you can run higher boost pressures on pump gas.
ha nice car.... xtreme tuner sides i see. good luck with the car. i went custom on the turbo kit and like it a lot more than a "kit"
work the head, all the power you are going to make 70% of your power from it alone, rods and pistons just allow you to run moe boost

Well there you have it..
The experts have spoken...
you dont need hp tuners and you dont need lower compression.
technically they are correct.
But one could also argue alot of other points...
Lower compression hyperutetic pistons could also work, but of course I meant forged! You can also run stock injectors if you use an eic....
so whatever!

sorry a lil difficult to understand what i just wrote.
do work to the head,IE- portwork, larger valves, springs, cams, etc. will all yield you more power when running x amount of boost..just food for thought
