turbo thats a bit bigger than saab turbos?

well i have the saab setup with the garrett turbo and am thinkin of getting a td04 with the 18t wheel that supports ulp to 350 turbo, only thing is its 800 an that is 300 more than wat my setup costed lol. so is there any turbo that is a bit bigger than the saab turbos but still provide quick spool and i can probably use with my 2inch charge pipes with no problem? all i wanna change out is my manifold and turbo i have a log mani with a t3 flange im not using so i can weld a new flange on there. i just want a bigger turbo than the saab and still have a quick spool and still be able to run my lsj injectors, cartech fmu, and my 2inch charge pipes, oh and maybe something that is gonna be cheaper than 800 dollars haha

yea well i was gonna use my extra manifold, because the garrett and mitsu turbos for the saab turbo manifold im using have a weird three bolt flange and i havent been able to find one that fits the saab manifold, hence using the t3 turbo mani i plan on using, only thing is i dont wanna go to big i just want a fun street car not a record setting cavaqueer haha jk

T3?

Lots of nice turbos have a T3 foot print.

Can you keep your ext side and swap a larger compressor wheel\housing on to your body\ext wheel?

Just get a used T3 42/48, it'll give you the low end spool up like the saab(not exact but close). I've seen them rebuilt sell for 300 dollars. On my old 2200 set-up I bought a rebuilt turbo from a company down here in houston called turbochargers.com for 250 bucks. These turbos came off 80s turbo volvos and I've heard some 300zxs but I'm pretty sure those are T28 but should fit the T3 flange either way.

Yea that's wat I want t3 42/48 and a 38mm external wastegate, I wanna use my downpipe that I'm using now so that's just a matter of welding on a new flange on there? I was thinking of using a 2.5inch vband to make it easier

Well I knew someone that worked there like a year ago and he hooked me up but I don't think he works there anymore, he went to a different shop. But if you call them I'm sure they can help. I know for a fact they modify and rebuild turbos, my buddy just had his Volve turbo modified by them(14t housing with 16t wheel upgrade for a s40 1.9t).

Also an idea would be to get on car-part.com or shop your local yard for a Volvo 240,740 theres some others and get there turbocharger have it rebuilt then go from there it might actually be a good fit for your budget.

If you currently have the L/P garret from a saab, then the H/P Mitsu would definitely be a upgrade.

And you could keep the downpipe and manifold.
