Ok, so i've decided to start looking into boost and i have a couple main questions. (i have a 98 z24, LD9 engine)
1) Am i better off going with the GM S/C, or building my own turbo kit, which is usually more costly?
2) If turbo is the more feasible option could someone point me in the direction of some good information on turbo kits and where i would start to building myself one.
Before you start telling me that i dont have the know how, because ud be right, i dont, i wont be installing it. i have friends who have spent 20 years as professional mechanics, they will be my installers, i just need to find them alllllll the parts.
Dooooonnnn't doooooo ittttt!!!!
*ahem*
Personally, if I had the chance to do it all again, I'd leave my engine as it was with the intake and exhaust. If you want a bit more power, go with the supercharger. It's bolt on and hassle free - plus it's a lot cheaper. Building a custom turbo kit is just so expensive, and there's always more that you can do so it never seems to end. Just my honest opinion!
