MSD DIS 2 on a 94 2.2

Okay, heres the situation. I have a 1994 GMC Sonoma 2.2, used to have a 2000 Sunfire 2.2.. anyway.

I'm thinking of doing a turbo build, thats rather budget with my truck.. I'll probably be using a used/rebuilt turbo, home built exhaust header, etc.
For extra fuel, I've done a bit of research and I'm going with an SDS EIC.
There isn't much out there I can find to tune the stock computer. I think I can ship it off to Wait4Me Performance and have them do some basic stuff to it.
So the stock computer will be left alone pretty much, as you can't really do anything with it.
I'm not sure how much boost I'd be running, but there seems to be some great numbers from 6psi and up.. around 160whp at 6psi or so.
I've been reading and you'll want to be able to adjust the timing; I am not sure if you can do that with the ODBII trucks via HP Tuners, but since I'm OBDI the MSD DIS 2 is my only option pretty much.
The thing is $675 from Summit, without coil packs. I'm just wondering if its necessary for boosted engines, and is it worth the money. I'm still learning all this stuff, so please don't beat me up.
I've leared alot between here and S10F.
If I don't turbocharge it, I will probably do an ITB setup. However, the output of a boosted 2.2 vs n/a is sorta irresistable.
I don't want to put in a V8.

yay someone that DOESNT wanna small block an s10. Thank you. I think the MSD would be a good thing so you can advance and retart the timing for boost. One crappy thing about not having a dizzy.
