is there a supercharger that i can buy for a 2.3 LO or HO?
i was thinking about that.do u know what they had to do to make it fit.

is this @!#$ clear i did read that it did not help me i have a 95 2.3LO not a 96/99 2.4 so i have to do more then the 2.4 guys so i need some one who has done this to a 2.3LO or 2.3HO
i don't know Jas from BCJ's handle on here but i know that he's put a S/C on his 2.3/2.4 engine so he'd be able to help alot. he's running a LD9 block and bottom end with a HO head which is almost identical to the 2.3 LO head in reagards to bolt paterns. he had to fab up a flange for the S/C to bolt it to the 2.3 head and a few other things. it can be done. i'll see if i can raise him on BCJ to come in here and comment.
You do realise that it's a waste of money. Get an Ho with a set of cams and you'll make more power than a 95 with SC.
also, the 2.4 charger is so tiny, it would probably just slow the flow of the 2.3. If you want boost with a 2.3, go with a t3/t4 t3/t04E turbo. something big.

Pat asked me to post up what i did to the 2.4L blower to mate it to the 2.3L 086 head.
Junior also did this but he had an adapter plate made that bolted to the 2.4L blower to mount it to the 2.3 head.
I took a different approach.
I disassembled the blower and took the rotors out of the housing and sent it down where the flange had 1/4" of weld added on to the flang and from there it was port matched to the 2.3L head.
From there, to clean up the housing and gain the maximum efficiency from it, the shop doing the work sent the housing down south where it was extrude honed and the runners were all smoothed out and sent back to me.
The s/c housing was then sent back to me, and i drilled and tapped the intake runners for a set of direct port NOS nozzles
every thing lined yup pretty well for the most part.
the only thing i could not use was the lower support bracket as the mount tabs were about 3/16" inch out, not the end of the world, but i wasnt able to force it.
I had it replaced with a bracket i had tigged up in town.

The absolute best answer I can give you would be to sell your 95 and buy a 2000 or newer. The 2000-2002 2.4 jbody is a bolt on deal for the sc and the reflash can be tuned. Or you could buy a 03+ and boost it. The sc for the 03 is bigger then the one for the 2.4. The 03+ reflash can not be modified but it is not a big deal you can have a custom tune made.
I personally would never boost a pre 2000 just because of the hassle of tuning it with band aid fixes.

Well if thats the case then Im going to build an all motor 2.3. If that doesn't get my jollies off then Ill spray on it. If all else falls my friend owns a junk yard and Ill find a 2000 and up motor with ECM and harness and start all over. Ill be 50-60 by then but it will be all worth it.
