Eco super intake studs.

Hey guys, bought a used GMPP eco super kit, now i'm missing the 5 small, and 1 of the 2 long intake studs that go into the block, Now the J uses the 6mm stud where as the cobalt is the 8, and by looking at the studs the gm kit came with 6mm ends to go into the block than the stud turns into the 8 so it fits tight into the intake manifold and centers it up. now i have the part numbers 12590821 and 12590822 (these numbers suppied in gm parts list), but nothing comes up on gmpartsdirect, dose anyone have anyother numbers for the special studs, or how did others over come this. I'll be heading to the dealer in the morning, but if anyone can help before than it would be great, trying to track down the last few parts so i can install in the nexted few days.

thanks, Gary

For the 5 small bolts you can use some from the stock intake manifold. What I did for the 2 studs was just buy bolts. That way you don't have to drill and tap your head because the cobalt's are bigger. If you want tomorrow I can measure how long the bolts are so you know what you need.

Thanks, but yea thats the problem, the stock bolts are 6mm, so they wont be tight in the holes on the intake manifold, wich will be centering it, i know it wont be off by much, but i'd rather have the proper studs, like i said i got one of the proper long ones, just missing the rest lol. On my buddies car he just made sleeves to go into the manifold to center the bolts in the hole. Would be nice if i could get the proper ones right off the bat tho..

i was missing the small ones, i just used the stock ones and put a bunch of washers on it to simulate a shorter bolt

i only use the to long studs that go through the intake manifold, but i drilled and retaped it to use the ones that came off the cobalt and the rest i just use the stock ones, if u want u can punch out the brass sleeves that are in the stock intake manifold and drill the holes a lil bigger in the s/c intake and put the bushings in there and reuse ur factory bolts to center it.

Thanks guys, what i ended up doing is i'm going to use the 5 small stock ones, what i did was take a nut and grind it down to fit into the intake manifold, then the 6mm will go threw that, not dead center, but between all of the it will get me in the ball part no problem.

only thing i still need to figure out is fined one other long stud, heading to a local bolt place tomorrow
