Ok i've had my 16g for over a year now and now its time to upgrade but i don't know if i should go with the 20g or something else better for the money. The problem i'm running into is i want my ram hood to still be functional plus i just like where the filter sits. I have a 400hp goal i'm gunning for so don't want to be cut short. Any help would be appreciated.

i think a 20g would be pretty sweet. pretty sure they easily go up to like 450hp
Are you interested in ball bearing turbos? A GT3076R would put you where you want to be in power and maintain a decent boost threshold. It will cost you more than a 20g unless you get a good deal on a used one.
Other thoughts - T3/T4 57trim from vendor of your choice
Borg Warner S256
or
Borg Warner S256 RS
I have an S251 RS that i'll be using which is good for 400-450bhp (350-375whp) so that S256 should be perfect for your application, and they work even better at higher pressure ratios! Much more cost effective that a BB unit, but with very similar spool characteristics.
oh you could go with mine . mines a t04e t3 t4 ... its a 57 trim .63 turbine
easily tunable for 25 psi 530 whp......its the same as a t3 t4 good spool and reaction
I got a brand new GT3076R I'd be interested in unloading.

Just a question so i understand more better. What is easily tunable?????
^LOL
Yeah, I've never heard of one turbo being "easier to tune" than any other....

What about a turbonetics gt-k 450, would it be idle for what i'm looking for or a lil overkill? Whats better about ball bearing turbos? Thanks alot so far.

I would not say its overkill, but for the money, you could by a GT3076 and still have money left over.... BTW, ball bearing = faster spool times....

Well that's the positive, but the negative is how expensive it is to re-build a BB unit if anything happens to it.
Any of the Borg Warner units that utilize the Extended Tip Technology, have VERY similar spool times to that of any Garrett BB unit. BUT the Borg Warner will have a MUCH fatter usable area with pull all the way to redline. Personally, BW hands down for me. I've seen many DSM's with them in the last couple months (2 had the 4G63 stroker kits) and they were dominating the compitition of Garrett units.
Not saying Garrett doesn't make a good product, just saying for the money, ETT takes BB units any day of the week in price to power ratio.
