Hello Im new to the forum boards, and Im trying to figure out the best route to turbo my 99 cavalier 2.2l ohv.
I've heard that I can use saab parts, is this true?
if so can I use the manifold?
also any of your guidance is greatly apprieciated, dont mean to sound like a newbie, I've worked on cars for years. Just never went the turbo route. For me its always been naturally aspirated. but I think its time for a change, So I wanna try out the turbo world!

Welcome to the JBO!
First off, unfortunately your 2.2 OHV will not be able to use the Saab turbo kit because that kit is meant to be used on the L61 DOHC I4 ECOtec motors (J-body model years 2002.5 - 2005) which is a completely different monster.
Luckily for you there ARE still turbo kits out there for your LN2 (2.2L OHV engine code) www.turbokits.com has one, and i believe Hahn Racecraft makes a kit for the LN2.
Before proceeding any further though, it would be extremely benifical to both you AND the JBO if you picked up a couple books on the idea behind turboing an engine. May i suggest Maximum Boost by Corky Bell.
If you go over this material a couple times and you feel more confident that you would still like to proceed turboing your outdated LN2 then come back to find out a couple JBO retailers that could hook you up.
Ok Thanks alot Man,
