Well last year i decided to play follow the leader and boost the ol cavy.... so i did, but ever since i put the kit on it has a major leak at about -5 psi. if i tramp it, it doesent boost although the gauge say i am boosting 6lb its like its a whole wack of noise and a whole lot of no go and i can't hear ne other noises other then BLAAAATTTTTTT. SO i checked all my clamps they alll seem to be ok. good i say! then i bought a new WG ( the old one was junk neway ) thinking this might help and it didnt work either, then i tryed the gaskit maker around the flange off the manafold and the flange to the WG (i have a peice that makes the WG sit up off the manafold and sit up behind the motor so you can see it.) and it still leaks. so this is where i sit.....but b4 i go and take it all apart this weekend just to slap it back on id like to hear some input... from some turbo smarties.
could it be leaking around the manafold where its bolted to the motor? or could it be off the turbo it's self where it's connected to the manafold. or could it be anything to do with to much fule... i'm running 10.0 AF as of now untill i can get it tuned a lil more with out that leak, i don't know why its so rish i wish i could at least cruise around town and not burn a half tank of gas in 20 min not even boosting.... sry for the rant... or worst case is a part of the kit junk?
i really don't think it matters but to save any usless questions this is my set up:
stock 2000 2.4 with:
t3 supper 60 turbo
log style manafold
turbosmart WG with open dump pipe
i am at work and don't have ne pics but if you want to see what i have go to pg 4 of my cardomain pg www.cardomain.com/id/kylephillips911
in advance thank you muchly for putting any thought into this what so ever.

wow.
How can you say it is not boosting, but the gauge is reading boost? Where is your gauges connected to?
What mods for fuel do you have?
What exactly is BLAAAATTTTTT? Can you better describe the noise.
FU Tuning
no the noise it flat out BLAAAAAATTTTT! nothing othen then that. as far as the gauge it is connected to a white plastic vac house under my hood up by the brake fluid res. and fule mods....not quite sure what you mean.... i have the stock eveything like i said in first post well except injectors... hpt was used to tune it if that helps.... can't see why it would tho.
Sounds like the BLAAAATTTTTTT may be your open dump wastegate.....

See I do not understand what you mean Blaaattt is. I could see it being your wastegate opening. Are you venting to the exhaust, or open air?
FU Tuning
no its a open dump pipe and yes i could see the blat being that at WOT but the noise that concerns me the most is the leak noise NOT the blat at -5 psi you can hear it leaking somewhere under there. i just would like to know where all the possiablities are that air could be excaping and not alowing the turbo to produce the power it should be. its not so much a boost leak i don't think as it must be an exhost leak.
when you start out in 2ed you hear the turbo and the second you put the peddle down half way and the gauge comes up to well say even -10 psi the leak starts and if you let off it stops... for example. going up a steep hill its fine it has nothing to do with rpms i can even down shift and it be ok but the second i give it more gas on the throutle to keep on trucking the leak starts again..
ok let me ask this, is it normal to say that you can controle the boost gauge by your throtle peddle? if you push the peddle down and let off, the gauge should just move up and down right.. or should you be abble to hold it at -20 with the clutch in? it wont go to boost or nething just sitting there clearly so thats why i think the gauge is hooked up ok.
thx again for ne help ne one may figuare out. i just want to burn the thing at this point!
If you have a leak, or blown gasket take everything apart, it should be easy to tell where it is leaking from. Should have black trail on the flange it is leaking at. Plus the gasket should be broke. Might want to make sure all flanges are true.

ok thats what i figuared i had ahead of me. i guess i'll just pull er all apart this weekend and see what is ahead of me. thank yas for your help
