Updates w/ some numbers...
Well I was finally able to get the car in for some tuning and numbers. Unfortunately the tuning did not go smoothly at all... the tuner there did the best that he could with the car but Cavy's are definately not his specialty so he left alot on the table.
Regardless he did manage to tune the car in for 1 bar of boost before running out of fuel in the fuel tables. Since the tune however I noticed he did not touch my pulsewidth multiplier tables at all so I will be doing my own further tuning from here on out and will likely head back later this summer for more numbers on higher boost and my tuning. I found out that I am probably the best person to tune this car since it's such a pain and I have had years of experience with it.
Anyways at 14psi the car put down 371whp 379wtq... I have yet to have much of an opportunity to put more fuel into the car or turn up the boost due to being so busy and bad weather around here but this weekend I plan to try working it up to 20ish psi... as of right now I've managed to bump fuel and boost up to 18psi and now the car is really starting to love the increased boost
I'm very satisfied with making the power I did on just 1 bar of boost but I am far from done... there's still much power to be pulled out of this thing

What turbo are you using? Could you post pics of the setup? Nice numbers.

I don't understand why you are paying somone else to turn your car since you have HPT and are familair with it and the car. From reading what you posted it sounds as if you might know more than the person tuning it. Is there something I am missing.
x2 on posting some pics of your setup. I remember it looked damn good.

The turbo is a t60-1 .82a/r... as far as the tuning goes it's not exactly easy to tune this thing at it's current level. I'm running 1050cc injectors along with everything else... what took us maybe 6-7 hours on the dyno would have taken me weeks and weeks to do on the street.
We were able to completely dial in the ve tables closely by using the histograms to log the various throttle positions and rpms. I had the car tuned in well enough to drive when I took it to the dyno but wanted to sit down with a professional to dial the car in throughout. It was my mistake not realizing he has not touched the multiplier tables before we pulled it off the dyno but regardless now I have a well running decent base tune to work from
I was impressed with the car making 371whp/379wtq on just 14psi... for that much power and that little boost the car did exceed my expectations.

That's a really clean install, and great numbers. Glad you're happy with the results!

Haha well I cannot say i'm actually "pleased" as the car is far from where it will be once I have some time to start tuning it more... my goal for this project was always 400-450whp so i'm under that... however I also thought I would require much more boost to reach those numbers so in that regard i'm satisfied.
I'm hoping i'll have some time this weekend to get the car out for some tuning... i'm currently at 18psi so I've stepped boost up that far but would like to see 20psi as a goal for the weekend

another LD9 close to 400hp. hahaha. i gotta get my eco build going!!
horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.
The dyno was done on 14.7psi or 1 bar, i'm now at 18psi so i've got absolutely no doubt the car is over 400whp right now
I likely won't have any more dyno numbers until later in the summer but the goal is to push as much boost as I can out of the car before I either run out of tunability, injector, or something major breaks

finally some numbers....geeeezzzzzzzzz
j/k glad to see an update man
sweet setup and nice #s
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
Props on awesome numbers!!
What is the maximum efficient pressure ratio on that turbo? You've probably got a lot of turbo left to bury that 400whp mark
I've read some of your struggles on hptuners/forums, and it's nice to see you and the tuner got this thing ironed out!
Very nice....what are the specs on your turbo?

^^^ I posted them already... t60-1 .82ar... the turbo isn't even close to it's peak efficiency right now, by the end of the weekend if the weather cooperates I should be up around 20psi and actually start working it a bit.
371 was just the starting point guys... i'm by no means satisfied with that as the completed goal... I have far too much time and money into the car to be happy with anything less than 450+

^^I feel ya man, after 3 years of my turbo being on my car I have no numbers, track or dyno. Although my car is on the dyno right now getting tuned so hopefully I can be around 400 as well. We shall see !!!!

^^^ I definately feel ya man... this is actually the last season for my Cavy... the car is going to be parted out completely over the winter, returned back to stockish, and then probably sold as a bolted on Z24. I've been through so much with this car and i'm just ready to move on to a new project. (more displacement and RWD)

Parted out huh? that has crossed my mind many of times. I got dibs on that turbo header then hehe
Anyways good luck with your next tune!! Can't wait to see higher numbers.

I don't understand - why would you labor so much over accomplishing these goals and then destroy your own work of art?
