I turboed my 01 2.2 liter cavalier. Finally got my downpipe and full exhaust ran and all my gauges hooked up. It runs well all except when I start hitting 4-7 pounds of boost. Its like it has a miss. My wide band o2 is saying my fuel is a optimal most of the time. Thought maybe it was the plugs and wires, so changed both of them. Still doing it. Anyone have any ideas for me. I have hp tuners pro but haven't gotten to hook it up to it yet.

What are the plugs gapped at? You are most liked experiencing spark blow out. Also, did you drop a heat range or two with your plug?

What have you done? Your profile suggests you only have a 1993 and 1997 Cavalier, and the recently turbocharged one is the 1997. From this description it sounds like you slapped on some parts (including an eBay turbocharger) and never tuned for it. Considering you have HPTuners yet never hooked it up, you're probably running on a 1 bar MAP sensor, stock injectors, and stock tune. Of course it runs like @!#$.

What the hell is "optimimal" AFR? What is yor actual AFR? What is your timing set at? Has it been tuned?

your aie fuel at WOT(wide open throttle) aka flooring it should be 11.5-12 all the time...thats optimal air/fuel ratio...also post pics and specs of your set up...have u properly tuned it, u need to datalog, it will tell you what is wrong...maybe u should pull some timing and see if its still doing it, could be knock
I think he has wideband and narrowband confused.
oooo a narrowband will not give you a accurate air/fuel ratio, if your gauge is a cheap 40-60 gauge, its a ring of light...that only says lean/stoich/optimal/rich than throw it away its useless to you, u cant use it for a boosted application, its a light show and nothing else, u need a wideband kit, the kit runs its own wideband 02 sensor for a accurate a/f reading
