m62 bypass valve

hey guys i have had my supercharger kit that i put together from a cobalt ss supercharged. everything went good but the only thing i am having trouble with is
that my bypass valve opens wide open at full throttle and i can only make 5 psi. when i rev the car i make like 1 psi and when i hold the bypass valve closed i make like 10 psi just by reving it.
i know the cobalts have like a sensor or solenoid that connects to the bypass valve to regulate boost but do i need one for my cavalier. thanks alot for the help

Do you have the bottom port open to the atmosphere?

i just installed my s/c today on my car as well and the by pass opens during wide open throttle, u have to put the eblow on the by pass and have it open , i hit 5psi when i rev and 8 psi when there is a load on the car.

When the car osnoff the bypass should be closed, when u go wot, it should be closed...be sure the botom nipple is vents to atmosphere. Check the bypass when the blower is off, should be completely closed, if not lossen the 2 bolts holding it and slide it around so that is shut tight
