M45 Idler Pulley Bearing Replacement Info
Sunday, July 05, 2009 11:03 PM
I was getting a ton of noise from my idler pulley . I pulled it off and have done extensive searching for a pulley replacement. Needless to say I couldn't find the pulley complete with bearings . There is a NSK Bearing Part # on the inside of the pulley. NSK b17-102dg3 . I am calling a bearing company tommorow by my house to see if they can point me in the right direction. My question is , has anyone done this yet? I did a search and only found one post containing the word NSK . There wasn't much info there. i heard some bearings cannot be taken out of pulleys. Is our idler pulley for the m45 one of these cases? or am I going to be able to press or knock it out.? Any help is much appreciated... Hopefully this post will be useful to someone else in the future if they do a search because there wasn't much there on the subject.

should be a 6203 bearing

the 6203 is used in every other GM idler out there accually i think they all use them

i have stock of them here even the INA newer style that are 14mm think insted of 12 which come in handy on 2.2 tensioners.

i can replace them if there metal plastic can't be replaced as bearings molded in as for the GM sc kit i have no clue why they would use a different pully, what size is it?? if its a 3" try a 3800 tensioner pully and see if it clears

I will look into the 6203 further Matt , Thanks for the information. The pulley is metal and it is roughly 2" diameter X 1" wide .

http://www.wagneralt.com/catalog/books/W2008-02.pdf

There's the file for the replacement bearing on page 28 of the pdf file.
It's a Wagner part that should be available from Wagner.
Here's the Wagner part number: W02x-11

This should be the exact replacement by Wagner for the M45 supercharger pulley bearing.
Yeah I know old thread but receiving my idler assembly today for my M45 install next Spring prompted me to do some research on replacement parts for the setup.

Hope this helps.

I am going to order this part as well.. however, I can not find a place to order it online. Has anyone had to order this yet? I actually have the OP's car now, and he has replaced it and its going bad again. So I am wanting to replace it and cannot find an NSK dealer around me, and Wagneralt.com doesnt have an online ordering system and the bearing is squealing. So is there a place to order a replacement bearing online?
