Just finshed my supercharger build. only one problem. i bought a gm reflashed pcm and it wont start my car. the engine just cranks over and dosnt fire also the theft light stays on when im trying to use this pcm.. but when i hook my stock pcm back up it runs like a champ. How do you reset the theft system so i can use the reflashed pcm that i bought,

iill post pics and add some moreinformation about the build tomorrow. its 4:53am and im exhausted. any suggestions on how to get around this theft system problem would be greatly appriciated.

2000 to 2005 Cavalier / Sunfire

1. Turn ON the igniton, with the engine OFF.

2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).

3. Observe the SECURITY telltale, it will be flashing. After approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF.

4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.

5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. The vehicle is now ready to relearn the PASSlock Sensor Data Code and/or passwords, on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK.

IMPORTANT: The vehicle learns the PASSlock Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You MUST turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.

6. Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the PASSlock Sensor Data Code and/or password.

Does not sound like theft lock. Theft lock starts for 2 seconds then shuts off.

Apparently you need the BCM also from the car that was programmed for the s/c. The ECM and bcm need to match or have the VAT system disabled via HPTUNERs, but you cant modify the gmsc tuned ecm

I guess I'll have to try that sometime, that way I can relearn anti-theft (don't know what good that is on a car with no alarm, lol)

alarm scares people away the anit theft prevents the car from moving if they tamper with things

Every Ecotec swap we have done, car would start and shut off, after relearn would start and run. This was even on a 05 Ecotec.
We also found that some 2000+ we had to swap key switch as well, but some pre-00 we did not.

Nice build.

Good luck with the Flywheel though.

Those aluminum ones give me the creeps...

I was only making 8psi with intercooling mods so that sounds about right. won't be long before you will be swapping pulleys

so true, i thought i would be fine with a 3.0 pulley @13psi, not enough, im dropping to a 2.9" looking for ~14.5psi...
