Leaking fuel injectors
Tuesday, September 01, 2009 10:02 PM
Just installed brand new Ford Green top 440 injectors on my 99 2.4. Seems that the first two injectors are leaking, checked the o rings seem to be in great condition. Anyone else have this type of problem, or any ideas what could be causing it? thanks guys.

Where exactly is the leak coming from? Orings may be rolled or sliced and you are not seeing it.....

it appears the leak is coming up from the sides of the injectors after inserting them into the engine

Do any mods to the fuel rail have to be done with using the Ford 440 injectors? Maybe their not sitting right?

try using your stock inj o-rings , and lube them before slipping them into the rail and the head , also make sure and use the clips that hold the injectors to the rail
