I was cruising through Crate Engine Depot and stumbled upon this
Supercharger?. I thought they stopped selling these, can somebody confirm/ deny that they have re-released it?
2003 Cavalier Black Base, 5sp. Enkei Evo 5's in Hyper Black
Leftovers. Same with Pace Performance when they had a few left.
What is this charger at full boost on the 2.2? They say---> " The S/C pulley is 79mm. The boost is ECM Calibration limited to 12psi on Cobalt SS" Is it the same on the 2.2? 12 psi?
10-12 depending on exhaust mods, the more restricitive your exhaust is, the more boost you will see, the les restrictive, the less boost your gauge will read
Thanks, i was just curious about that. Also what rpm is it at full boost?

So it's at "10-12psi" at 6500rpm??? I know superchargers build boost as the rpm raises. I was just curious about this one.. Is it at 10-12psi at say 5800 or 6200, or at redline at 6500?

Still listed as "Discontinued" when checking with GM EPIC.
They do list as though there would be stock at the Lansing, MI facility.
Can probably still order direct from GM, they probably have a few kits kicking around.

okay, first things firat, Evilmonkitar will never steer you wrong so listen up out there. Secondly, Call you nearest GM Parts department and they should have SC kits available. I purchased my kit about 3 months ago for 2700 from the dealership. Or you can call GM performance parts direct and they have kits available. I see 11 pounds at full throttle around town and about 14 on the highway. (More air, More boost) Install is quite interesting.

Thanks Brian, thats what i wanted to know.
if you bought the kit threw gm and have the intake studs a 4 year old could install the kit.....
I wouldnt say that its discontinued really, its all the same stuff thats on a cobalt SS, all still easily ordered through GM, with the exception of the tune, which you can do yourself in HP tuners
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
Yea gary, a 4 year old can install the kit. not so much.
KabOOm- The install is interesting because it took me 14 hours with hand tools. We ran into a lot of difficulties such as having to cut metal with a small drimmel, could't hook up the cruise control, and after 2 hours of trying to figure out why the bely wouldnt fit, I finally figured out that you can't use the RK sport crank pulley with the kit. After I spent nearly 3,000 including the kit, spark plugs, boost gauge, reflash, etc, It is well worth it.
Just give yourself an entire day. get a friend with knowledge and have POWER TOOLS!
Only thing I don't have, power/air tools.
