i have a 99 cavalier 2.2l turboed i was thinking about upgradeing my fueling system and was wondering what kind of fuel pump i should go with thanks paul
what mods? just shy of a turbo or supercharger the stock fuel system will handle anything you can throw at it.
IMO Racetronix fuel pump, Aeromotive FPR, RC injectors should do the trick. Thats what I run on my 2200 turbo.

no need for the wiriing kit you wont be exceeding that pump i'm running an 3800SC with a 3.4" pully (11lbs boost) on a stock j body pump with a lot of milage on the pump the car has 400 000km and i have no records of the pump ever being done filter has been done a few times never the pump that i know of
600hp and 700ftlbs to the rear wheels is what the racetronix pump is capable of and without the wiring they say output is droped 30%
420hp and 490ftlbs i doubt you will ever need that kinda fuel theres only a few crazys that get over that and they know who they are

My fuel pump went out at around 160k. I changed the fuel filter frequently. I run the 2.2 eco gm sc kit. Installed at around 120k.
Needed a replacement asap when my pump went, didn't have time to upgrade so I had the dealer put a brand new pump in. Has been good since, currently at a little over 200k. But we'll see.

Regardless if I exceed 400whp i'd rather my weak link not be the fuel supplying the boost and I am already running 15lbs and plan on turning it up past 20 with a 100 shot or more direct port.
you can buy it if you want but the average person will not need it 1 have 11lbs and don't need it, its not any cheaper if you buy it as a kit it would cost the same so if you don't need it don't buy it when you do need it buy it theres only a few member that would gain from the wiring change otherwise run the racetroix pump on stock wiring
