I cant say about the trani holding up. Not much experience in that feild. But OEM sells eagle rods, and wiesco pistons. Im sure a bunch of others do as well.
You gotta peice together your whole build or buy a kit a member has made. There is a sticky at the top that has pretty much everything your going to need. I know you say you dont have much time to read them but your going to have to sit down and learn somehow, reading is your friend

Cavaliers can ONLY run Garretts.

You will need a GT35R for the 2.4 LD9. A GT2554R for the 2.2 OHV. And a GT6041 for the eco.

Turbo's are vehicle specific. If you don't get the right one, your tail lights will burn out.

Hope this helps

Every single turbo kit has the same general parts, but the specs of the parts need to set up for your specific application. Which is why ebay kits are soo bad. They just toss a bunch general parts together without doing any research into the application.

Re: TURBO

lol, don't get butthurt, i'm just trying to tell you to read and learn. read and learn. if ur lost after you read then ask questions most people will be glad to help. those stickies are filled with alot of real good info, just like the stickies in every other forum of the site. generally you can find most of what you want to know thru the stickies or using the search function, so research that's all.

The added load on the electrical system from the larger turbo's power tends to jump all the way to the back of the system.

If you get the right one in your power range, then they will be fine.

I think it's funny you actually think I'm being serious in the slightest. Let alone the fact you obviously think it might be possible that a turbo could be in some way related to your brake lights. You really shouldn't be trying to boost anything.

i'll give you some info that coinsides with what the group is trying to tell you that turbo isn't plug nplay this is just one major part that you'd have to read if there wasn't a sticky that's condensed of info of this type.there's a lot more to it you have to know where you are all the way through.read, read and read somemore. good luck

LMAO, stop pulling this guys leg. Okay man, you can fit virtually any turbo on your Cavi. It all depends on what kind of power you want. If you want a 3-bolt flanged turbo and not the t3/t4 style 4-bolt, you'll probably have to get a exhuast manifold made to fit it. At that poin you need to find out if it's internally or externally gated; if it's external, your manifold will need the flange for it. I highly recommend just going with Garrett's t3/t4 external gated turbo. You choose the trim size and whatnot. It is far more common to find a log style manifold already with the t3/t4 4-bolt flange already on it for your motor. Keep in mind you need to have clearance for the turbine housing in your engine bay, so be careful on how you set it all up. I myself drive a 04 Cav with an automatic trans. As most know, that trans is huge. Using a log-style mani off of a manual trans Cav meant I had to change the pitch of the flange in order for the turbine housing to clear both the water pump and the transmission. Also keep this in mind, custom turbo build = custom headaches. No lie, I'd know from experience. Just be patient and find the time to read the stickies on turbo builds man and you should gain a better understanding of the time you will need to put into this. Have faith, cuz once you feel your car under boost, all those headaches and hurdles you overcame will be a thing of the past.
