too small for a Cav. different flange than most manifolds (most turbo manifolds for our cars use the T3 flange not a T25 flange) and did I mention it was too tiny?

perfact.... look at speed racersZ's profile, he got full boost at 3100 rpm, just get a little smaller turbo than his and your good.

How can you say that it is too small when you don't know how much power he wants to make?
A T25 is can support up to 250hp. I do agree with you that a T25 is not the greatest choice simply for the fact that every 2.4 manifold i have ever seen for sale came with a T3 flange.

The perfect size for you would be a 50 trim T3 with a .48 turbine a/r. It should have little to no lag at all and be able to push 8psi on a stock 2.4 all day with no plroblem. any bigger will just add more lag.

thats pretty much what i was looking at anyway. just seen this t25 on ebay and wonderd what it was about. i have a friend that has a t3 with pretty much those specs. i am a newbie when it comes to trim, hot side, cold size specs. just learning everything i can.

all i am saying, is that the T25, while not even working with the manifolds, is a baby turbo. Sure, it'll run 6 psi on a bone stock motor, but whoever does that isn't going to slap on a brand new T25. It's going to be pulled off a DSM at a junkyard, with who knows how much shaftplay, bad seals, etc etc.

you can find a 300zx turbo cheap. They have a t3 flange but are t25 turbo's with a .48 a/r, They are knwon to go over 200k miles if the proper oil is used and is changed regylarily.
This is a old post but I was searching through the old files before asking about my build and I was doing the research and I think a I've got a good answer for anyone else who is trying to run a T25 on a 2.2 OHV like me.
Im looking at getting a 2G T25 turbo off a 97 GSX and the compressor ar is .60,
After plugging in all the numbers using the Garretts website I found that a unit like this is good for a max around 180HP, anything after that would put it outside of its usefull range.
And just for record the numbers for that are arpx. 20lbs/min at 13-11 PSI I live in AZ and the Elevation is over 5000 feet so depending on your area you may have to adjust the base psi numbers
mine are 12psi atmosphere + 10 psi boost= 22psia running at a air/fuel ratio of 12:1
Peak power is around 3500RPMS-4500RPMS over that and you are outside the effective range again and will need a reallllllly good intercooler and injection system.
So a T25 turbo with ar trim .60/.64 is a good low end street turbo, but will not do if you want to punch your car past 180HP.
mild bolt ons will add the turbo but from a stock point this type of setup will require head work to improve flow rate and lower heat factors.
My build is going to include a intercooler and water injection to the air to air intercooler, and the stock unit is going to push 10 psi from the factory wastegate.
Fuel and spark are still getting worked out, I'm thinking about a rising fuel pressure to match boost and a DIS-2 with colder plugs,
