I am looking for an ecu already flashed that someone is willing to sell, or answers on how to possible get one done.

Also, with HPT, can you read a gm flashed eco ecu or not?

With my GM S/C flashed pcm we tune and read with HPT. I don't see why it would be different on an eco.

phil i am quite positive the gm eco sc reflash cannot be read with hpt
no sir cannot read mine with HPT... but i will sell it to you, or trade you for yours as long as your car is a manual and that the ecm can be accessed by HPT

I just want to get some clarification here. I was under the impression that you could do a read entire and write entire, but you could not open the file for editing. I realize you cannot tune the file
Are you saying that you cannot even pull the file from the ECU inorder to write it to another? If so, i've been mislead...
you have been mislead sir, the pcm is locked, all you can do is scan codes, and reset them

it was revealed a long time ago that the checksums on the ecotec reflashed PCM are disabled, so when HPT tries to read it it doesn't know if it has good information or not, and therefore cannot read, open or edit the ecotec reflashed PCM at all.
the Z24 reflash can be read and tuned by HPT, however you're limited to a 2bar map. the eco reflash has a 2.5bar map. both are speed density. the earlier reflash is tunable with hpt, the eco reflash is not.

Since Im thread jacking Phil( Just to keep from making post about the same thing over and over) I'm guessing no one else has a spare flashed ECU...Those that have taken it to the dealership what exactly did you tell them to get the flash? Since my kit is pieced together. i plan on trying to get it down this weekend since im starting on the swap tomorrow...
