I was Trifecta tuned on friday. So pretty much been driving like a ignorant bastard all weekend. Um i thought the stock tune and pulley was only supposed to make a max of 10;bs of boost? I'm definetly pushing 13 maybe more!? I guess thats not a bad thing? But just wondering

Mail order tune or they actually have a location? also everyone varies, I was seeing in between 7 and 8 psi. Boost gauges can play a factor too.
I don't know anything about your build, but with superchargers, generally cam selection, along with head and exhaust flow, will affect your boost level. As in if you have a completely stock engine and bolt on a superchager, you might make 230 HP at 8 psi, whereas if you had a p&p head, high flow header and full 3 inch exhaust, you might make 250 HP at 5 psi.

Yea i have a glowsift gauge. But from what i been hearing like you said roofy everything else is stock making my boost higher!

Boo, i only see 10psi with a 3.1" pulley.
LOL your not mad!!! Your feeling more power! Its cuz of my stockness! Def enjoying having that power when i want it.

with a roots supercharger, more boost on the same pulley size usually means more of a restriction, more heat, less efficiency. More boost on a given pulley size is not necessarily a good thing.
are you running a cooler? 13 lbs of boost is a bit high without a cooler. if this is the case get a larger s/c pulley and lower the boost before something bad happens.

He's fine. The GMPP S/C doesnt come with a H/E and has the same pulley he has, GM wouldnt warrenty anything that would blow up an engine.

Exactly. Throw a decent header and exhaust on there, and although you'll probably make less boost, you'll make more power.

I was running a weapon R 4- 2 -1 header back to a high flow cat, 24 " resonator and flowmaster 40 series.
I saw 7 -8 psi and in cold weather around 8-9 stock pulley.
Yea that must exactly what the issue is here, Supercharger and no supporting mods. They'll drop cuz the entire header and exhaust is next.

GlowShift gauges are not accurate. I have tested a couple with a vac/psi pump and they are further off the higher the pressure just an FYI so your likely not running 13 psi...... Who knows though the ambient temp on my M62 made notable psi variations. My guess is that it's the guage though....

I saw around 13psi with a 3.1 pulley, he, and an aem cai. But once I added the cobalt pacesetter header and 2.5" exhaust I dropped to about 11psi. So I would say u are really restricted by heat and exhaust. Get a heat exchanger on it first tho. Heats a bigger issue with the charger.
boost pressure is merely a byproduct of restriction, if your seeing 13 its prob because your exhaust setup stinks and you need bigger pipe and less restrictions

I have a ZZPerformance 3" pulley, HE, 3.5" intake and full header and exhaust. I only see 13-14psi.
lsj header, 2.25 magnaflow exhaust, AEM CIA. 8.7 lbs of boost today...
BTW trolling again. i know its an old post.
Im seeing 12-13psi with a 2.9" now.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
ur motor flows well tinkles. stock motor right? no port work or anything? I think my 8.7 is kinda low. it was only 80-85 degrees today. i think my lsj header, and 2.25 exhaust flows pretty well, but it still seems low to me.
for what it's worth mine has 9-10 depending on how cold it is with LS1 tb tusdo header and 2.5 header back exhaust on a 3.0 pulley
I have not done anything to the engine besides the S/C, exhaust, and the small common items.

11.5 at night, 10.0+ during the day. 3.1" pulley, Cobra h/e with dual pass, LSJ header, 2.0" Borla cat-back.
ive been seeing 11.2's lately. pretty consistantly too.
