I am getting a tial 50mm bov and am wondering which spring I should run. It looks like they have a 7,9,11 and 12 psi spring. It appears that the choice should be based on vacuum but not sure which one I need to run. If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.
How much vac. does your engine pull? Its been a while so I dont recall exactly how you are supposed to figure out what vac. to use. Idle or decell.
im not sure either. i ordered a new one based off of idle vac on my car and its WAY too soft... going to go back to the hard one for a while
I want to say that I compromised between my idle vac. and decell vac.
From what I have been able to gather its the vacuum at idle. I have read a few people running the 7psi on some fairly large turbos (GT40 and GT42) so I am wondering if I should get the 7psi spring or go with the 9? What are you guys running?
I dont remember what I had, I sold my setup back in 07 i think. I want to say I had a 9.
I ran an 11 or 12 lb spring at first and it was way too stiff and killed my first turbo. Switched to a 9lb which is for idle vac from 14-17. Worked perfectly and didnt surge at all.
I can't really remember what my car idle vac is, I thought somewhere between 10 and 15.
