ok so i will finally be getting everything for my vulcan fmic m62 to ld9 manifold and everything in next week...... no i have the m62 with the 3.1 , a 2.8 and i have a 2.6 i am trying to get your guys opinions on running the 2.6...i have been reading on the cobalt forums and there has been people running the 2.6 also. now i have this supercharger

it is port and polished and show polished which should help with efficency and heat soak
i have phenolic spacer for manifold to charger and manifold to head.these showed good gains
phenolic test
i will still be running my meth injection post charger
and i will be going through this bad boy

now i only have secret cams so i will only be reving to 6500 max. so i am asking you guys that have had these superchargers what you think..
with a 6.5 crank / 2.6=2.5 final pulley ration and 2.5 x 6,500=16,250rpm for the charger

i think i have enough cooling mods to go to this pulley with the m62 but i still want your guys input

i was just doing some more math airtonics had a 2.8 on his and reved it up to 8,000rpm which equals
6.5/2.8= 2.321x8,000=18,400 rpms on only a dual pass intercooler i think i will be ok spinning it at 16,250 maybe ill bring the rev up to 6,750 which will put me at 16,875

test the 2.6 out. see what it does. then try the 2.8. if you feel like it's lost power or have dyno'd on both, then you'll know.

You mean the vacuum hose that connects to the brake booster? It gets attached to the big "nipple" between the bypass valve and throttle body.

dont see why not, they have made manifolds for other vehicles...they would most likely need the vehicle, or the engine to make sure everything fit correct since there's 2 cylinder banks, you might want to email bryan and ask... vulcan.turbo@hotmail.com

So wait your running the H/E and having the supercharger suck thu the intercooler? How effect is that IC? won't the air get rehaeted once its blasted thru the supercharger or becuz of the spacer and P&P it'll disapate the heat better? I'm just looking for cooling solutuions out side of meth.

there is no water heat exchanger on this setup it is a custom mannifold that runs piping to a front mounted intercooler not back throught the supercharger.

no wade is the only person that had this set up running so far. and he parted his car aout before dynoing and getting all that kind of information...... but i am sure they will be low with the intercooler phenolic spacers and meth injection.
