Ecotec M62 with LS1 75mm TB

Got my supercharger back from Dovor Cylinder Head of Orlando. The inlet opening was ported and an adaptor plate made to mount LS1 75mm throttle body.

Have you test fitted it into your engine bay? I see two problems.

1. Your throttle cable not reaching.
2. The plate/throttle body hits the power steering pump.

Not yet, I have no engine in the bay currently. I did a quick fit check on the engine outside of the car, and it doesn't look like it will hit the powersteering pump. I am thinking I might have to cut down the corners some maybe. I have an option B kit, so I am thinking of fabricating a bracket to use as throttle cable bracket; and mounting on the 2 holes were the stock resevior goes. That might fix the cable issue. If not I can look in to aftermarket throttle cable.

Everyone else with a LS1 TB has an adapter like this:

I have played around with the idea of your type of adapter and came to the conclusion that it would need to be wedged shaped to clear the power steering pump and the throttle cable wouldnt reach with the wheel on that side.

It'll be awesome if that simple plate works, but i find it doubtful.

Well good for me you are wrong about the TB and plate. I did have to trim off the corner that was closest to the steering pump. Here's pics...

Have to wait untill I get the engine in to see about the throttle cable. Thats if the 2200 or L61 cable doesn't work. I could also salvage a LS1 cable and see on that too.

I said in previous post that I plan on fabricating a bracket and mounting where the stock resevoir goes on the supercharger.

if it works it works, but its not very easy on the eyes I would see whatever could be trimmed down aswell..

Thanks for pics, they will help.

Here's my fabricated throttle cable bracket. I drilled a few holes on the bracket and cut off a few pieces, and made to other brackets to hold in it's place. The cruise control cable will work, so I hope the throttle cable will to.

im guessing the throttle cable is gonna be pretty tight if it will reach.... if it doesnt reach just get yourself a z24 throttle cable, thats what i have and it will reach wherever i need it to

This is just a piece of the whole project. I am currently waiting for Quaife to send Karo at AllEcotec.com the LSD so I can finish the project.

Also have to figure out ignition still. LSJ cam cover is not compatible to the L61 ignition module. And the LSJ coil pack harness is not compatible to the L61 engine harness. I think I am going to have to do the whole MSD set up the PJ has done on his project. Any ideas?

I am going to do a whole post from start to finish on this once it is done.

Nothing yet. I have had to change a few build decisions. The Quaife LSD is taking way to long. So, I am going with Team Green LSD. Then use the extra money to get Super 20G turbo and make this a twin charged engine. Soon as these come in and John Higgens can come down to tune; it should be done. I will make a whole post about the whole thing. Until then here is everything that has already been done to the engine and where I got it from.

You can make more HP just going turbo. I wouldn't do both personally.

I agree and would not do the charger and Turbo together. The charger and manifold will be a restriction (not saying it wont make power it will). The low end power will be too much to handle and control to make it useful. A nice custom intake manifold with Turbo would be sweet, but the blower cams will suck on just turbo.
