Does anyone know of lower compression pistons for my 2001 z24
it's supercharged and not fast enough.
I'm swapping in modified 91 2.3 HO cams porting the head and aftermarket exaust.
to add more boost safely i'm looking to lower the compression and need a way to do that.
Pistons would be the easiest.
Can anyone help?
Wiseco 9:1 are probably the most popular.
I have no signiture
Are you running the mp45 (it appears you are)? If you car has that s/c it won't give u the amount of boost needed to lower the compression. I think the most it will do is 9-10 psi and that would be turning it more than it should. I think mine had 7-8psi with a 2.6" pulley and that was on a stock motor. Lowering the compression would only take away more power. I would lower the CR if you are planning on upgrading to a turbo or something bigger with more boost.
Raise the compression. You want power go 11:1 and lots of boost!

Truth...ill be running 10.5-1 and boost. lower compression only makes it easier to tune and you will max out the efficiency of the supercharger before you run into those kind of problems.
yes absolutely...
m45 + domed slugs = awesome
Don't know what ya got til they take it away...
11:1 with a nice big turbo would be major sweet!!
