Hey guys... this goes out to those that have built 500hp Ecotecs... I was wondering what the best head gasket is? Most reliable or the one that has created the most power on a flat deck... so copper and oring grooves doesn't count... I have heard some say LSJ and others claim Cometic... just want some input on this before I bolt the head down... tux
...I am the BEST at what I do...
"I guess your right[BlueBoost]. Me and my slow car are failers."
The l61 will work just fine. The stock Lsj head gasket ups the compression alittle bit. The stock L61 gasket is .040 thousands and the Lsj is .020 thousands.
gm Part # 55352039. It's the head gasket for the 2005-2007 LSJ supercharged 2.0 EcoTec. It works on our cars just fine. That's what I'm using, and if I'm not mistaken, Hahn RaceCraft uses it on their Sunfire. Go to
www.gmpartsdirect.com and type in the part number. its about the cheapest place you'll find it.
