I have been looking around for some pictures of LD9's and how they ran their charge pipes. I have found a few pictures but was wondering if someone had some good pics with the HO manifold. I am trying to figure out what bends I will need to order but the motor is not back in the car yet so its hard to tell without actually seeing the placement of everything to know which bends I'll need. I have found a few posts about this and am going through the pages but most of them are pretty general pictures of their entire setup but was looking for more specifically just the charge pipe routes you have and what bends you used. Any help would be appreciated.

That looks like a smaller battery and in a little different position, I guess a little fitment is going to be required to get it to fit down by the battery.
I was thinking a 90 degree after the TB may work so I'll probably do that. I'm hoping by next week the motor will be back in the car. I think a few 90 degree bends and maybe some 45's may do the trick, have to wait and see when the car is back together.
only tip i can give you is weld as much as you possibly can
your car will love you for it
as well as not having to wrench on couplers and its just 100% cleaner.

mild steel. Its cheap and I can weld it at home (welder needs some work so my welds are hit and miss when it acts up). Aluminum would be nice but I just cant justify the extra cost of materials and having someone else weld it for me.
Wouldn't mild steel risk eventual rust getting in the intake? I had thought about this in the past for making an intake manifold.
Maybe, but I never had any in mine and I know several people with mild steel charge pipes that are rust free inside. I am assuming that the aluminizing process also coats the inside of the pipe.

As much as I would love to take credit for the welding part, I didnt do it. I did all the prep work and had a guy in town that works at a tuner shop do the welding for me. They did turn out great, and im very pleased with them. Its more expencive to run SS and to weld it but I think its well worth it. Thanks for the compliment though, il pass that along to him when he does my exhaust

Anything worth doing is worth over doing.
So I guess I'm going with some mild steel, its a little easier for me to get the car finished quicker. I'll probably paint the charge pipes black once their on. Hopefully this week my motor will be back in the car.
Looks like a couple 90's and a few 45's. Have to take a look next week, I need to order a few flanges and gaskets as well. I have been looking around regarding the turbo inlet gasket but have been reading different things. I may order one anyways, but it appears some people are not running one. Hopefully have my BOV on the way this week and then getting the car ready for the dyno.

Im not paying someone $60/hr to weld my pipes together. Especially when I have MIG welder of my own that cost me a whole $0 to aquire.
