Alright guys, I got a blower kit off kijiji and got around to tossing it all in and I dont have an idler pulley that apparently came with the kit, so anyways thats on order ($300 bucks wow).

My buddy (gm mech) was also doing some searching today says that I need some special 700 dollar reverse rotation altenator... WTF? Looking at all the pics and parts lists
I dont see anything about a reverse rotation altenator... If this is the case, wouldnt an LSJ alt work? Im sure I can get one from like a parts store for waaaaaay cheaper than 700 bucks.

Any info would be awesome!


had a blown ecotec swapped 2000 cavy, now just an 02 Grand Am, and a 74 BMW 2002...

I've got the lsj alt on my cav

alot of guys run the factory cavalier alt without problems too...

Our stock alternator work fine in reverse.
