Cam & Spring Change = New Dyno Numbers :)

And found the limit of my Spec Stage3 Clutch. After this pull the power dropped to 380 then to 352 and the clutch was done for...

410 without correction w/correction...
415.6hp and 341tq (remember to add about 18% for DynoJet numbers = 490ish) that's up from 381.3 on the secret cams.

Cams are the ones Kris Bloom had custom made from Elgin Cams. I got them from Cory ( Zs Z ). HO spring swap. Cam specs are .404 lift @ .050 and 218* duration.

Suggestions for a new clutch? Narrowed down to ClutchMasters or Bully.

Why did you only pull to 6800? It looks like that's where you're making peak power.

Still running 19lbs. boost to keep everything in comparison. 6850 is where I had the rev limiter set to,really not trying to push all the limits right now, just running more as a test mule for data....

Bully has the best grip and engagement, albiet, that comes at a big cost of money ($930ish Canadian for my stage 4 6puck, straight from Bully) They will warranty ANYthing as long as you have proof that a new master/slave were installed, as well as a properly machined flywheel, at the time of the clutch install.

i can beat bully's pricing

and the warranty part is also very true, seeing it first hand right now

Shoot me a price on a stage 4 6 puck and I'll get a quote FX 700 with flywheel. I'm running a RKsport (fidanza) flywheel now so I can just replace the insert for the stage 4x6...

Shipping will be to 67060

Please for the love of GAWD use a stock flywheel lol. I would hate to see your engine bay be destroyed from an exploding Fidanza. It's not worth the risk especially with how much time/money/hard work you've put in to your car!

wow gary, extremely impressive.

now, get a good clutch, turn up the boost and rev to 7500. LOL 500+ on a dyno dynamics would be INSANE.

180hp in 1989 or 145hp in 2002, you decide. >

Awesome numbers! I'm running a 4 puck unsprung hub ACT on my car and it grips like a MOFO... engagement is harsh and it's not exactly a friendly in traffic car but i've gotten pretty used to it now and love it

As far as the Fidanza Flywheel,It's been in there for 20k miles. Been through the Super Charger, the first, second and third Turbo setups, autocrossed, dragged and beat on pretty good. I think if it was going to shell it would have done it by now. If I remember right a lot of the trouble was people weren't putting flat washers between the bolt head and flywheel and digging into the aluminum real bad.

Yuck that happened to my LSJ's flywheel at one point. Makes it impossible to torque the bolts properly when it just keeps digging in.
