Some questions for you guys. M45 non ported / 2.6" Snout pulley / O.D. Crank pulley / Secret Cams / Full Header Exhaust / 378 cc Injectors / Snow Kit Stage 2 / Auto
I got a Snow Performance Stage 2 Kit new off of Craigslist for $150.00
It came with two huge nozzle that aren't going to work.
1. Is a 100ml/min or 175ml/min a better bet. I don't want to buy 2 of them.
2. When I bought the M45 off of icemike it came with a smaller belt. What is the stock goodyear gatorback belt P.N ???
3. Are my 378 cc injectors going to be enough? for some reason I'm showing like 98 % duty cycle at W.O.T. Im running a new stock pump. It should hold the power fine right?
I appreciate any help. Thanks in advance . I can tell you anything about a turbo setup on these cars but am new to the M45 mods. I know some of you guys have been at it for a while now so please chime in
Can't wait to get all of the stuff on. The car should move out pretty good.
And for the record , I searched and searched and searched for the answers prior to posting. I could not find any info on the belt for the life of me.
I have almost the same setup with the exceptions being a 2.7 pulley and a devilsown meth kit. I use an m3 nozzle for meth not sure its actual flowrate. The lsj injectors are doing fine in mine but I need to do some more logging with the new crank pulley on.
On my way home from work today I kept it in boost a lot and really beat on it and when I got home the charger was barely warmer than ambient air temp. I run prestone de-icer washer fluid straight in my tank and it is 25-35% meth with the rest being water basically.
Car really snaps now when it kicks down from a roll and has plenty power. I am on stock 140k fuel pump (only for a little while longer) so your new one will be fine.
As far as the belt I have no idea what stock size is because I did an a/c delete and changed the belt routing big time. If I can find the original I will get the numbers off it and let you know.
Joe thanks for the response . I can't wait to get the nozzle so I can put this stuff on and get it tuned. I am so glad I got on the GP for the OD Pulley. I just wish I knew the oem gmsc belt # and what nozzle to get. Thats the only thing that's holding me up.
I just looked up my nozzle size from devilsown and the 3 gph is 189 ml/min. i havent noticed any bogging or problems with this nozzle so I would go with it at least if not bigger. I also have a 5 gph that I may try later on after I get some of my other things taken care of with the car.
I also found the belt I was running before with the a/c still on. Its 73 inches long. When I changed the belt routing I picked a belt that was almost too short and my tensioner was almost maxed out. When I picked the new belt for my OS crank I went up almost 2 inches to accomodate the bigger diameter pulley and give me some tensioner slack. Personally if I were you, if your tensioner is close to the middle of its travel I would go up 1.5 inches. Just go to the parts store and tell them you need a 5 rib 74.5 in long belt. I couldnt get my size in a 5 rib so I got a 6 and cut a rib off, so you have options there also.
Hey Joe, Thank you so much.
As for the nozzle size I'm currently running a 380cc nozzle, but just ordered a 500cc nozzle. I know you are probably going to say way to big.
With the 380 and my 2.5 charger pulley I got my IAT's to only increase 9-11 degree's on a run. Since going with the OS they have jumped up way more. I will be playing with that once I have it.
The SS/SC's were way small for me on a 2.5 and stock size crank pulley with stock pump. I'm running 42's, and was close to maxing those out. When I went with the racetronic pump it gave me back some more room in the injectors. Still I'm around 70% with the 2.5 and the OS pulley.

THank you John, that is also some very use full information. I wasn't 100% sure the reason the duty cycle was so high was caused by the stock pump but this verifies it. So even with some green tops I will be almost maxing those out with the current mods I mentioned and stock pumper ? Damn lol... Can I keep- the stock pump and put some dsm 450 blues in there? I hate to pull the pump it's brand new and I just hate doing the pump swap. I had a walbro 255 before and would get the fuel cut under a 1/4 tank so I swapped a new oem one in and man is it nice to not have the fuel cut issue anymore.
Yes you could stay with the stock pump and 450's, but why. I would at the very least do the Racetronic wiring upgrade that could help the stock pump out.

Just to avoid dropping the damn thing again lol. It sucks. Hey John , whats the best way to cut a 6 rib belt down? Razor knife or heavy duty scissor's???
Razor utility knife. Layed the belt flat side down on my workbench, stuck the razor tip through the rib I wanted to remove, and pulled the belt continuously keeping the blade still. Took like 2 minutes and worked perfect.
Sounds good Joe, I did what you said and told them I needed a 74.5 long 5 rib belt and Napa only had that one in a 6 rib gates.
