Hey I was just wondering i have been reading some things on boosting and am going to be turbocharging my ecotec in my sunfire using a saab kit, but i was wondering if i can run a re-flashed computer? What exactly does the re-flash do? Does it just up the fuel curves or does it actually allow the computer to recognize boost and adjust timing and fuel for that? Also does it take the speed limiter off or is that something i have to have done by HP tuners? Just trying to get some more info into my head before i attempt boosting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
the reflash CAN be used to run the saab "kit". the limiter is NOT removed or raised, and u CAN NOT turn it off with HPT on a reflashed computer.
Ok but what exactly does the reflash do?? and would it just be better to get my computor tuned with hp tuners?
HP Tune your computer.

I always felt safer usuing the gm tune rather than having someone tune it using hp. To answer your question yes it recognizes boost, that's why you have to change your map sensor. It also compensates for timing and fuel.
I have a 100% complete Saab system for sale, with reflashed comp, intake manifold, downpipe, injectors, map, etc... Literally everything you need. Pm me if your interested

If you read threw this thread:

Vince from Trifecta says it doesnt see boost. It's a weird fake 2.5 bar tune.
What map sensor do i need for the saab setup?
If you intend to run the GM reflash, you need the 2.5bar TMAP that comes with the kit.
