Ecotec S/C Belt Help
Wednesday, July 07, 2010 9:04 AM
I am just getting the parts together to add a S/C to my eco..

But my car has no factory A/C,And i was reading that you need to have the A/C compressor or pully from it to take up the belt slack..So I would like to know Do i need to go that route Or is there a shorter belt available...

Any help would be great,Thanks,jason

I do believe you have to run the a/c belt and use the a/c. But what you can do is hit up pick and pull in chilliwack and grab a compressor from there. Pull the guts and use that as your idler.

ZZP lists a a/c delete pulley. But when you click on it nothing comes up. Would be awesome if they actually made one

GM had one, but last I looked the part number no longer works at all, and all I have found is references to people cutting up a compressors.
