Just wondering where you guys get your coolant fittings for the turbo.
I know it's a 12mmx1.5 bolt. Are you guys using banjo bolts or what?
for mine i'm just using the stock banjo bolts and the stock lines. to feed the coolant i had theses machined:
one goes in the upper radiator hose 1and the other goes one of the heater hoses.
Im using all stock saab stuff for the coolant feed even the saab upper rad hose, and for the return I tee'd it into one of the heater hoses
Thanks for the help guys.
Im going to use the heater core lines for this.
Is there another way other than banjo bolts without custom making something? It seems like they wouldn't flow very much.
saab runs the banjo bolts from the factory, but if you don't want to go that route, the turbo threads are 4an. im pretty sure that 4an is smaller than the heater hose used in the oem application though. my plan is to buy some 6an hose and banjo fittings (http://cgi.ebay.com/Banjo-Bolt-Kit-M14x1-5mm-6AN-Turbo-Water-GT28-30-/280527300438?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4150bae756) and used 6an hose, but that wont be until next year.
I'm pretty sure the turbo threads are M12x1.5.
i just posted the first one i saw on ebay as an example. i have to oem banjo bolts, so the threads of the supplied banjo bolt wont matter. also i have threaded 4an fittings into the turbo, actually my feed goes to 4an fitting threaded into the turbo.
OH! That makes more sense. Thanks for the clarification.
What's the biggest size fitting we could use to flow coolant into the turbo to keep it as cool as possible? Any idea?
As far as I know, banjo bolts are pretty efficient.

6an are the largest i've been able to find, there might be larger but i've never seen them
