What Pulley Size??
Monday, July 12, 2010 4:47 AM
Ok I have looked around to what some people are running but I am still not sure which would be best for my setup. This is what i currently have for engine mods:

M45 supercharger
GMPP injectors (forgot what lb they are)
MSD DIS 2
MSD Coils & Wires
Pacesetter 4 to 1 Header
Bullit Exhaust
Short style Cold Air Intake
Jet Performance Module

Currently I have the stock pulley on and have not got it tuned since I just got the kit on there. Wanted to see what would be the best pulley size to go with so when I get it tuned it's like a 1 and done thing. Or at least for a while

well you say nothing about a heat exchanger on your list. I wouldn't even consider pulling down unit you have one, and buy the biggest on u can

the m45 doesn't have a heat exchanger capability does it?

Nope...No H/E available, only meth is an option.

GM has a reflash so get rid of the jet module as there are even some claims it takes away power. I would also pick up a set of LSJ injectors and get it HP tuned, you'll get more out of the setup. As for the pulley, if your are running smaller than the stock 2.8 most people say to run meth. I have ran the 2.7" pulley without meth but when I went to the 2.6" I added meth. IIRC a 2.6" pulley puts the s/c near its max rpm so personally thats as small as I wanted to go. Everything else looks good for mods, but I would add meth to that list.

I was running a snow performance stage 1 kit with a 225ml nozzle. I think I picked up 7whp going from the 2.7" to the 2.6" pulley.

the shop where you are going can advise you on meth injection. Possibly have it already there if you wanted to purchase it.
