Are there any tubular 2200 turbo manifolds anymore?
Monday, August 09, 2010 5:24 PM
Back with my first cavalier I bought a tubular 2200 manifold from someone, but I noticed it was cracked before I installed it . I have been looking for another one, but no luck. I remember it being pretty special when I had it, considered having it repaired but got rid of the cav and gave it to a friend. Is this going to be a custom piece now a days?

He's correct a long while back John benham sent one of his spare cav connection turbo header's and they tweeked the design a tad, and reproduced them, I had one from them. Is this what you were thinking of?

I'm going to guess yours was CavConn/JTuners? They are no longer around. Their manifolds' cracking is pretty common.

Man, John gets around with them tubular headers... I have one of them on my car as well. I had mine completely rewelded and then ceramic coated and heat wrapped. I wish I could get a hold of the one that was made by the company up in WI. I forget their name at the moment. They use to offer a crazy @$$ equal length tubular header that was insane looking. granted it was like $800 but it looked bad @$$ and probably spooled real nice.

Go with RDFabs. They make a very nice tubular manifold. Just what ever you do. DO NOT BUY A EBAY LOG STYLE AND ASK ABOUT FITMENT ISSUES.

I had one and there was no way in hell my Garrett T3/T4 and my Tial 38mm were mounting to that POS with out some relocation pipe or some sh!t.

Yeah, probably cavailer connection, it was not coated at all and the runners were a little shorter if I remember correctly. Mine was second hand so...

If someone cracks T-304 Stainless with heat you have some serious tuning issues, and will have a blown HG before a cracked stainless manifold.

OP I got your PM...

Refer to our old GP thread for the options you are looking for. Base price will be a bit higher than the $375

I am checking on the base price for you and should have a response by tomorrow sometime.
