2.7 pulley

I understand the recommendations around not using a 2.7 pulley however does anyone know what kind of boost it will generate approximately?

On a stock head, probably around 18.

with a built motor, use the 2.7. i do believe it is around the limit though....build that thing, then blow it... that what this game is all about...

oh it is getting built..and it is getting a 2.7 just trying to figure what to expect with boost.

Wow 18? my boost gauge must be reading wrong, I'm only making ~13 psi with a 2.8".

Maybe I'm thinking of a different size. I was seeing 10 stock pulley with a 2.25" exhaust.

your numbers and mine make sense together since you're supposed to gain 1 psi with each 0.1 inch drop in pulley size.

Varies depending on mods and exhaust sizing. 2.7 actually runs really well any lower is where it get hairy, the rotors actually start to "walk" and they make contact. I have a friend who runs a 2.5" daily and he's on his 3 rd supercharger in 4 and a half years but the car pulls, really really hard(granted on e85).

This - pulley diameter is only one factor out of many that affect boost pressure. But you want to strive for LESS boost pressure on any given pulley, because with less "back up" you will be creating less heat. I laugh when people brag about pushing 25+psi with a blower

I am just trying to get a guestimate on what kind of numbers I will be able to pull of. we will see...let the building begin!
