We got out of the engine internals market some years ago, and instead decided to focus on turbosystems and related technologies. I'm currently looking at some new engine build options to recommend to customer and racer friends, as well as engines I am preparing for my own ventures. I would like to know what's out there right now for engine internals manufacturers and sources.
In the past, we'e used Wiseco and JE pistons with success. Where's the best place to get these now?
Same for Crower and Eagle rods.
Camshafts? Have used Comp Cams in the past.
Would like to know what y'all have been using, where to get them, and any other data you'd wish to share such as pricing, availability, anything at all. Perhaps this could even turn into a nice sticky thread for the JBO's reference too.
Thanks much!

Bill,
I've been dealing with Wiseco for the past 9 years now and have never had any real issues with them. (unlike JE) even tho, they are both owned by the same company. (go figure). I've never been a fan of JE, Ross, Diamond, or any other piston company.
We have a lot of of our part numbers for both the Ecotec and the LD9 which has developed into "off the shelf" part numbers so everyone else can buy them from Wiseco. Altho, there are a few #s which can only be sold to us only. (different compressions and custom setups).
For rods, I deal with Eagle. Cheap price, no issues, they hold up fine. For those guys who want to go a step above Eagle, I use Pauter or Carillo.
For cams, Comp is the most eco friendly choice out there. Altho, I have been selling some other cams which come from Europe, they are to expensive for the avg user/person.
Crane used to make good cams for the Ecotec as well, but they are no longer in business.
If you need anything else, let me know, you know how to get a hold of me
I'm Master WD with a few of those companies listed above

can he get a sleeved block?
Bill you were playing with LA sleeves right, where most guys here go Darton...
Care to enlighten us on that?
Thanks everyone, I don't know why I didn't just think of Karo first off...brain fart I guess!
Karo, I'll get with you for detail.
blackbirdracing: The LA Sleeve prototype went very well. As I dabble in dragbikes too, they came up since they do a lot of bike cylinder block sleeving. They were willing, prompt and professional. I found the results to be affordable and quite up to the task, so give them a call. As I recall, the man to speak to is Dave. Tell him Bill sent ya!

Yes I can offer you sleeved blocks in many different formats.
I can offer you the GM Racing block as well that GM used in their 1500 hp race program if you have the money for it or I can offer you a basic sleeved block that can hold 750-1000hp without any problems. The key is how much money you want to spend on a block and what options you would like with them. 1/2 studs, h11 studs, main studs, o ring, head/block/main pass threw studs and the whole 9 yards....
As for darton sleeves, i've seen a few ecotecs having cracked darton sleeves already, not sure if its a sleeve issue or a machine shop install issue...
