I was bored and just doing some research on the saab turbo kit that everyone is using on the ecotec j bodies and I was wondering, has anyone upgraded to this Garrett GT28RS turbo before?

"GT28RS Bolt-on turbo kit for the 1995 to 2003 SAAB 900 and 9-3 Turbo models with 2.0T engine. Turbo kit uses stock exhaust manifold and comes with Garrett GT28RS dual ball bearing turbo (350HP capable) along with 3" inlet pipe to airbox and 3" stainless downpipe. All configured for direct bolt-on."
Also, what year are you guys getting your manifolds from? Is it from any 2.0L Ecotec Saab or?
Anymore info would be great.
Thanks

Im looking into getting myself a saab kit myself and that turbo looks pretty nice, if only it wasnt so freaking expensive. I would like to see how that turbo compares to a T3/T4 to help me decide what turbo I will end up running once I have my engine built up. And yes as far as I know any 2003+ saab 9-3 manifold bolts right up, just need the saab gasket.

Another late night idea...
Anyone think about running the exhaust manifold / turbo off the 2008 + Cobalt SS/TC? Will that be a direct bolt up?

it would bolt on, but it would depend where it puts the turbo. It may hit our firewall

The GT28 pictured on ATP's will not work on the saab eco manifold. The one pictured has a typical 4 bolt T25 flange while the Saab manifold has a 3 bolt TD04 flange i believe. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.....

Unless you are running a class that limits impeller size, $1,800 is too much for that leaf blower.
I have no signiture
if im not mistaken that is the website I ordered my side marker lights for the toyota fenders from and a few days later my debit card number had been compromised and I had to get a new card. Also that was the only place I had used the card online in quite sometime so im 90% sure it was one of their employees could have been a different saab parts site though.
