So as you all know i had my car tuned a few weeks ago and since then i have turned the boost up to 16psi and my afr's are sitting around 11.5-1 and also changed plugs out and gapped them at 30 where the ones that were in the car were gapped at 42 after turning the boost up on the old plugs i was getting spark blowout in higher boost and high rpms and after closing the gap on the new plugs and hooking up my msd coil packs the car runs alot stronger up top. Future plans are to do a pcm and wiring harness swap from a ld9 to convert to a speed density setup instead of the alpha-n because no one in my area is real familiar with alpha-n tuning. then ill install my new intake manifold and should prolly have motor build done around the same time.

im searching local yards for the harness and pcm but not having much luck only one that i have found is an auto and i have a 5 speed so i gotta keep looking if someone could clear something up as to what jbody cars ran a speed density setup that i could prolly score the parts from

2000-2002 LD9's aka quad4's aka z24's. If you can find a spare eco pcm for yourself you can also try doing a write entire with the ld9 code onto your ecotec pcm, I've heard of s10 guys doing it but I dont know what pcm they were using.

So what if its an auto trans? just dont use those pins on the connector and turn the codes off with hp tuners, heck if you use a manual version of the 2 bar reflash you might not even have to do that.

manual pcm is missing the inner bits to work an auto (irrc).

you really should just see the guys that tuned me car. They had no problems with the alpha n
yeah i was over that way bout a week ago but didnt have the funds to do it idk i would rather have a speed density setup but ill prolly call that place to see what they would charge me for an alpha-n setup but im gonna wait until i finish buildin a motor b4 i get another tune but i might mess with the pcm swap tho just to clarify if it is an option for guys

I know you can make it work with alpha-n but if we could get a speed density OS, tuning would be childs play in comparison. Like if you made a major change (ie switch from SC to turbo) you could get the car good to go in like 2 hours on the street, instead of it taking the whole weekend of driving.

LD9 will NOT work on an eco pcm, only LN2. I have tried this twice, it does not take. IMPhat also tried it.
