I have found a machine shop the installs LA sleeves into ecotec blocks.
If we can 3 people (blocks) we can get it down to $975!

Hahn just used these sleeves for the Soul Food/ bull run solstice. I think he is also using them in his eco-powered drag bike build.
is this an L61 with darton sleevs?

LA SLEEVES...
L61...
I'm actually looking still... trying to get it cheaper... Working the purchasing agent skills I have.
I found the sleeves down to $375... Might get them cheaper than that. gotta call a guy 2morrow.
so maching is only $500... so right now it's down to
$875.
Don't forget to try LA Sleeve themselves.

Ah. Well then! I had hoped they'd be lower than that, but apparently not. Carry on!

RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
If I ever do an eco build, I would sleeve it!
There is never too much HP, I always want more!
A local machine shop offered to put Dartons in my LSJ for 900.
After talking to a local machine shop I've used a dozen times...
They said they would do
$800
NO BS $800!!
I asked about a group discount... he said 4 or more guys he be able to discount it further.
Said, he'd have to double check how long the last Ecotec took him to do.

A few questions:
What sleeves would be used? Do we/can we provide the sleeves? Do we supply the bock to be sleeved? What time frame would we be looking at? Im interested, but i need to get rods and pistons 1st. My pistons are going to be custom made so if i order them by Dec. i wont expect them until next spring at the earliest.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
watching. I have dartons that need to be installed.
dartons are a PITA to install from what the shop says... They charge a lot more
To help answer questions from tinkles...
LA Sleeves would be used
Can you provide the sleeves? um sure if you have LA sleeves..???
You supply the block.
LA would need 3-4 weeks to make another production run, plus machine time.
My build is centered around Darton's specs and i cant find anything on LA's website about eco sleeves.

Those look just like the bates engineering sleeves I have waiting to be installed.
yeah @ half the friggin price!
Blackbird I could seriously slap the living shampoo out of you right now... why didn't you post this a month ago! Lol
...I am the BEST at what I do...
"I guess your right[BlueBoost]. Me and my slow car are failers."
cause I just broke my block...
So I started researching...
and was like WOW!
Heh. I love turning folks on to cool stuff. Here's hoping you all get to enjoy this option as much as I have.
Fact is, Bates may be using LA Sleeve, as they are geographically in the same region.
