does the 16G have enough?
Some of you may know, I've been pushing my hahn 16G to see if I can get an 11.xx sec time slip.
I'm picking up my darton sleeved block today. (broke a sleeve this year)
I'll assy it this winter. Then have it ready for spring.
Mods are as follows;
Darton Sleeved block, 2.2 Wiseco 8.9:1 .020 over pistons, Eagle rods, arp headstuds, Ferrea valve springs, Ferrea titanium retainers, Ferrea spring seat locators,Supertech +1mm intake & inconel Exhaust valves, mild port on head, Fidanza aluminum flywheel, Spec stage 3+ Clutch, LMZ balance shaft delete, Hahn racecraft stage II turbo kit w/16G, Profec b V2 boost controller, Bates oil pump gears, AEM wideband, Small ass borla exhaust, raceready electric cutout, msd ignition w/ 2 step, Hoosier quick time pro 26.5x9 x 16 slicks.
Oh and I can drive.
Think the 16G has enough beans in it to make it happen?
I've never had my car on the dyno, and have only owned a cavalier for 2 years.
Based solely on the timeslip in your sig...i'm gonna say yes. If that's your goal, turn up the boost and make it happen. Hahn claims they've made mid 11 sec passes with their 16g neon, so i would think you should be able to accomplish the same.
I'm trying to get a hold of Ryan...
Pm'd him a few days ago.
I need someone to tune it.
I'm worried the 16G will just run out of steam...

Sorry... Been busier than I need to be the last week or so.... How much boost you running now with it? BTW, the build sounds nice! When you cracked your sleeve, was it on stock bottom end?

We went 11.66 @ 119 MPH on the Super 16G, using our PortFueler along with stock injectors. Car was amazingly street friendly, ran like a top at every normally aspirated condition on its stock injectors, and like a beast at every boosted load point thanks to PortFueler.
You can do it!

Well Bill, I wish your port fueler was an option I can afford.
Last I heard it was over $1500... is that still the case?

When I ran the 12.4 it was on 18PSI.... but not tuned well.
I cracked the sleeve, with forged internals... but factory sleeves.
I'd like to run as much a the turbo will allow. I think my engine is built for the task.

You may be able to do it with other fueling options...truly, in the case of determioning what your 16G is capable of, it hardly matters how you feed the fuel to her, so long as the method chosen can maintain the correct AFR.
Nonetheless, PortFueler is sold in conjunction with our StreetRace aluminum sheetmetal intake manifold in the case of Ecotec, so it's a long list of tasty, effective parts for the money. As I am sure you know, no one ever said trick and fast is cheap!

not knocking your product what so ever Bill...
As I pointed out, the other day.
To be on the top 10 list in the 1/4 ecotec section on here, you have to run 12's...
And 5 out of 10 ecotecs on the list are running your products...
I know you're not knocking, that's all good. We straight!
Thanks for that top 10 observation, I didn't even realize that.
Now go tear that 16G a new...umm, downpipe, lol!

Like I said on eco forum I know you can do it. People have been pushing the 16g to air flows that aren't on the compressor map and are still making power.
You really shouldnt have a problem tuning for WOT with our pcm since its going to be mostly the same every time you're at wot the tuning issues we have with alpha-n and turbos is partial throttle stuff. You still will have a rich condition when the turbo is spooling back up after a shift (can the msd dis unit do no lift shift?) I think with 80#er's, an adjustable fpr, and e85 you should be able to make the power to do it.

Running e85 with our PCM is probably one of the worst things you can do.... WIth no Stoich tables available, and the lack of other important fueling tables, this would be a meltdown waiting to happen.....

I love my portfueler, I just wish I had an option to upgrade to the new intake manifold, but I dont.
