Just wondering a guesstimate of what PSI I should be seeing. Alternator died last week so this weekend LSJ alt goes on along with MPS from zzp went with 3.1". Currently with stock pulley I was seeing 10-11psi before heat exchanger was hooked up after heat exchanger 9-10psi. I thought I read some where that each tenth of an inch translates to 1psi?
i'm seein 11-12 psi on my 3.1" but i'm also a ported blower and lsj header & 2.5" exhaust. the h/e shouldn't affect psi since the compressed air will always move thru the cores with or without h/e hoses hooked up. it would only affect temp of air.

cool you notice good gains with the 3.1 or did you ever have the stock pulley on there?
I'm at 9-10 psi on a 3.0 with LS1Tb and Header back 2.5 in exhaust.
hmm my high PSI on stock pulley makes me feel like i have flow issues or something. I have pacesetter LSJ header and I honestly can't remember if 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust I know plans are to have exhaust redone because it sounds horrible possibly since its catless i think a 21" resonator then magnaflow muffler

Remember altitude will play a role in psi, also how is the intake setup on your car? I'm in Chicagoland and I'm also catless and plan on swapping mufflers soon.
Yea true I am only 545ft above sea level according to Wikipedia. For intake I have the aem cold air intake with the elbow to hook it up to the SC

i touch 11psi @ 7k
with the l61 pacesetter header, 2.5" exhaust, lightened crank pulley, and a modded aem intake.

Well after the alternator change from hell pulley is on seeing about 12psi pulls much better than stock gm should have used this size from the get go
Rather than make a new thread I will just bump this one. Anyone running an upgraded heat exchanger like the ZZP S1 S2 or S3 go from the standard cobra heat exchanger to that? Currently im using the cobra one with the bwoody brackets jw about mounting if i decided to go bigger what am I going to be looking at as far as mounting options for the bigger heat exchangers?
I went from a Cobra to ZZP's S3 H/E. The S3 has it's own mounting tabs welded onto it. All i did was line it up, mark the holes, and then drilled 2 holes in my metal bumper. I didnt have to trim my bumper cover at all.

Belt has been squeaking last couple of days. I'm using stock belt I do have the stage 2 belt on hand if needed. Question is looked tonight I THINK the belt is back one rib on alternator and tensioner pulleys would this cause squeaking?
