TurboXS H-RFL springs?

Anyone know if there are softer BOV springs for these? Trying to minimize compressor surge but this won't blow off until 5in of vacuum. Trying to see if I can find a spring so it blows of at 10-12in. Help?

Umm...that would take a stiffer spring. Spring pressure (and boost) are what keep the valve closed, and vacuum in turn opens it...so for it to not open until a greater vacuum is achieved, the spring must be stiffer, not softer.

My bad, Bill. But thank you.

You could put the washers that come with the BOV in there to put more preload on the spring

I got the BOV used and it didn't have the washers in it anymore.

just use some washers that fit.

and i thought if he was getting compressor surge, that it would need to be softer so it WOULD open up sooner because the spring was not holding it closed as hard.

Im not trying to step on your toes bill but if he is having it open at 5 inches and the motor is making 20 inches of vacuum the spring would be able to hold 15 inches. if he wanted it to open at 10-12 shouldnt he be looking at a spring that could only hold 8-10? hence, one that is weaker
