I have the m62 s/c kit for my 04 cav and im looking for an elbow that will go from the throttle body to an AEM cold air intake. I searched and found the K&N elbow works well so i email them and i got "Thank you for your interest in K&N products. The item you need (084082) costs $89.99 USD plus tax and shipping. This item can only be purchased by calling K&N direct. Please include this email when replying" im looking not to spend that much. I also found this old post but did not solve my question.

as long as it's the correct diameter there's no reason it shouldn't.

i would probly feel more safe using an actual plastic one but that should work fine.

no that wont work. email k&N and tell them your elbow is damaged and you need a new one. covered under million mile warranty. just make up some BS and wait for it in the mail but i didn't tell you that. they will also ask you for a part number and it can be found on the K&N website in the install instructions or the parts break down list i think.
