Well, we're installing an option b coolant tank in a friends 05 cavalier. We're in the process of adding the gm m62 s/c kit, and its at the cooling stages of install. Weve got the tubing ran from the zzp intercooler, to the dual pass endplate, and now we're just baffled about how to hook up this reservoir return line. We see the large port on the bottom of the reservoir and where that needs to go, however im not sure how we're going to use a giant rubber hose, and connect it to the top nipple on the tank. It seems way too small. Are people using 1/2" to much smaller size reducer for that? It seems to be the only option. However, since the fluid isnt going to be filled all the way to the top obviously, how is this going to keep recirculating the fluids through the reservoir?
If anyone has some pictures, or a better idea, that would help tremendously!!!!!!
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That "option b" doesn't recirculate the fluid threw the tank. It just makes sure that the system stays full. The overflow tank off a Mustang Cobra is a much better option(option c, lol) and it does recirculate the fluid threw it. Never use anything smaller than 3/4" heater hose.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
