So, we just finished the install on a friends 05 j. We got everything hooked up, swapped my ecu (I've got the gm flash on my blown eco) and it wont start. It tries and tries, but nothing. We relocated the battery to the trunk and keep blowing fuses as well. Also replaced the plugs to ngk iridium IX gapped at .035. Any ideas??? THANKS!!!
TWo things one lose the fuse. We straightlined ours no issues. Also since u swapped ur ecu did u do the relearn to his key. Th# anti theft is mostliky stopping u since was outta another j. Theres a post on it.
Well we swapped the battery back up front. That didn't solve it. Secondly, after firing it againit just BARELY chugged then died. Wouldnt fire after that.. ill check for that post! Thanks
Got it started!!!! Thanks for the advice! Swapped his ecu back in and she fired
good deal man, glad you got it running.
so the grounds did nothing then?
Wait?!?!?!?!? are you now running your buddies car with his STOCK eco flash, or does his ECU have the GM supercharger reflash???
Thanks brad, I do believe the ground worked as well. And no, we started it a few times, but didn't let it idle very long. It was pretty rough so there's no point in trying to drive it. Haha. She's getting towed to the dealer tomorrow morning.
Was definitely the pass lock not letting it start .

Do you know what the purpose of a fuse is? Cause that is a HORRIBLE idea, thats some of the worse advise I've ever seen on this site.
