Smallest pulley with 36# injectors?
Friday, July 29, 2011 8:58 AM
I already serched and didnt come up with anything....

I am supercharging my car real soon and I am most likely going to run the gm reflash. I am just wondering how small of pulley I can run with the 36# LSJ injectors.
I have an OTTP heat exchanger, 2.5 exhaust, LSJ pacesetter header for supporting mods. Car isa 02 eco 5-speed btw

3.1. A 3.0 is fairly common but there have been reports of people leaning out in the higher rpms.

its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa

Ok cool, so the 36# injectors should be fine with a 3.1 pulley? I heard the gm reflash runs real rich with the M62 also...

untill you slap on the 3.1

Save your money. It might be worth something someday.

Runs 10:1 on stock pulley. it varies but with the 3.1, it will lean it out to around 11-12 from what I have seen.

Cool so it looks like I'm going with a 3.1 smoothflow pulley since I already have a smoothflow hub installed.

Another thing, I have two ecu's. I have one that was tuned with HPT for n/a and an OEM ecu. Can they reflash an HPT ecu or will it have to be the OEM ecu?

The purge solenoid on top of the power steering pump... The line that attaches to the intake manifold, where does it go to now with the supercharger installed?

The evap line? I took it off and threw it into the tool box and then turned the code off in hp tuners.

I found that the difference between having my pump wired in like crap (with the loose connector that came on it and right from the cruise control fuse) and wired right (with a good EV1 fuel injector clip, and through a relay) was about 20*F.

3.1" with a proper tune and stock fuel pressure will beyond max 36lb/hr injectors, as in >90% at 7k rpm...
I'd say either up the pressure or spring for 42 lb/hr at that pulley, unless you don't care about IDC lol

Well, It looks like I am going to end up running a 2.8 pulley with 60# injectors with a trifecta tune!

2.8"?? Don't you have to machine the snout down to fit that small of a pulley?

2.6 and below need the snout machined.

oh, OK.

BTW, on the GM reflash.

I have:
3.0" Pulley
31x9x3 Heat Exchanger
Bosch Water Pump (Ford Racing)
4-2-1 Header
2.5" exhaust with no resonator
3" Intake on S/C
Green Top SS Injectors

Runs EXTREMELY LEAN @ 4,500+RPMS @ WOT in 3rd gear.

Codes read: Random Misfires in Multiple Cylinders, Lean Bank 1, Lean Bank 2 etc.

Going to ZZPerformance to get tuned and see where my fuel system needs to be upgraded. I'll let ya know. I may swith to a larger pulley for street driving and then use the 3.0" for racing only.

Sounds good, I was going to do the gm relfash but I'm just gonna save up for an hp tune or trifecta tune.
When I install everything on the car, will it be safe to drive to get it tuned or will I have to tow it to the tuner?

you guys are nuts lol. Your injectors must hate you! If you're to the point where it actually leans out, you're way past safe duty cycle.
